From August 21 to 30, 2026, Avilés celebrates San Agustín 2026, one of the city’s main summer festivals. For ten days, the center of Avilés will transform into a large festival venue with concerts, attractions, children’s events, a historical market, a gastronomic area, and night shows.

Among the main musical events of the program: Muchachito Bombo Infierno, Gonzalo Hermida, Polimá Westcoast, Grupo Ráfaga, the orchestras Paris de Noia and Panorama. The program also includes an international folklore festival, free children’s events, Mercado Franco de Alcabala, and a traditional grand fireworks display over the ria of Avilés.
The festive atmosphere begins even before the official start of San Agustín: from August 17, the city hosts open-air movie screenings and events of the XLV International Festival of Music and Popular Dance.

The historic center of Ávila will transform into a huge market recreating the fair, the right to hold which was granted to the city by the Catholic Monarchs back in the 15th century.
