June 27, 2026 the picturesque park Parque de Somao in the municipality of Pravia will host the fifth semifinal of FestiAMAS 2026. This is one of the largest music competitions in Asturias, which annually unveils new talents and helps young musicians make a name for themselves.
Entry to the event is free until the venue is filled.
What is FestiAMAS?
FestiAMAS has long been an important part of the music scene in Asturias. The competition brings together performers from various genres:
- 🎸 rock;
- 🤘 hard rock and metal;
- 🎵 indie;
- 🎤 pop;
- 🎻 folk;
- and many other genres.
In 2026, the competition once again broke its own record: 201 musical groups submitted applications to participate.
After several qualifying rounds, the best bands continue to compete in a series of semifinals, the winners of which will advance to the grand final.

The semifinal will be recorded and broadcast on the regional television channel TPA.
