From June 5 to 7, 2026, the Xixón Folk 2026 festival will take place at the esplanade of Parque Fluvial de Viesques in Gijón. Guests can look forward to concerts, bagpipe performances, folk dances, a crafts fair, workshops, mythological characters from Asturias, traditional games, and a gastronomic area.

Friday, June 5
The traditional fair and crafts exhibition will start at 17:00.
On the program:
- 18:00–21:00 — crafts workshops
- 18:00 — puppet show El carro de los fenómenos ambulantes
- 19:00 — mythological parade with Banda Gaites Saxum
- 20:00 — official opening of the festival
- 20:30 — workshop on traditional Asturian dances

Saturday, June 6
The second day of the festival is dedicated to music, crafts, and traditions.
